….and My Story Runs On….
There are so many reasons to run and I’m sure I’ll be sharing them with you as I continue with my running story.
I want to tell you about my experience this morning. Nowadays, there are a lot of runs for charity that you can be part of. This is a great win-win because you are taking care of your health and also helping out a charity. I did something a little different this morning and it’s my 2nd time being part of this charity. My friend, Nancy (owner of Magill Fitness), originally turned me on to them and we both went together this morning.
It’s called Ruff Ruff Rescue Runners. What a great idea for a charity! You basically get paired up with a dog rescue or shelter and you get to take a dog out for a walk or run. This is great for people that love dogs but cant’ have them and need a dog fix. I’m a perfect example! I live in an apartment and can’t have a dog. This is my 2nd time doing it. The hardest part is leaving the dog when we’re done with our run….. but at least I know that I helped them enjoy some fresh air and most importantly, make them more adoptable by giving them some love.
This particular charity has events in Phoenix, Prescott and Flagstaff. Today we were at Arizona Pet Resort.
If you love dogs or want to help some dogs out, check our Ruff Ruff Rescue Runners or google and see if there is one in your town.
Do you run with your dog? Do you know any other places that do something similar and want to share here?

Next time, try running with a cat. Cats are much more into Chi meditation than a dog would be.

A Chi-tah? 😉 I’ll admit focusing on Chi is a bit challenging but an entire different vibe for a run with the dogs….shorter distance with a faster pace. I did 1.7 with him and already did 7.3 miles starting at 4:45 am this morning…it was a great running day! 😉
